World Premiere of Skin Memory — Mayu Hirano at Festival Les Musiques GMEM Marseille 2019 with the Tana Quartet《Skin Memory》世界初演 ― 平野真由、2019年GMEMマルセイユ「フェスティバル・レ・ミュジック」にてQuatuor Tanaと共演

On May 15, 2019 at 9 PM, the Festival Les Musiques GMEM Marseille hosted the premiere of Mayu Hirano’s work Skin Memory, written for string quartet and electronics.

The piece was performed by the internationally renowned Tana Quartet, whose innovative approach to contemporary repertoire brought Hirano’s music vividly to life.

Skin Memory was commissioned by Art Zoyd, continuing the collaboration that had already led Hirano to a season as Artist-in-Residence (2018–2019). The work explores the intimate connection between memory, touch, and resonance, blending acoustic and electronic textures to create a unique sensory experience. 2019年5月15日 21時、マルセイユで開催された GMEM主催「フェスティバル・レ・ミュジック」 にて、平野真由の作品 《Skin Memory》 が初演されました。編成は 弦楽四重奏とエレクトロニクス。

演奏は、現代音楽レパートリーの革新的解釈で国際的に高く評価される タナ四重奏団（Tana Quartet） によって行われ、作品の感覚的世界が鮮やかに描き出されました。

この作品は スタジオ・アール・ゾイド（Art Zoyd）からの委嘱により作曲され、2018–2019シーズンのレジデンス活動の延長線上に生まれたものです。《Skin Memory》は、記憶・触覚・共鳴の親密な結びつきをテーマに、アコースティックとエレクトロニクスを融合させた。
